And A Big Fuck You To You Ron Maclean

Well whatever, the Canucks began their 42 day road trip with a stop in the GOD DAMN CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE ….Toronto. You know the ‘Nucks would be pumped for this game, heading into the belly of the beast. So many storylines were waiting to be to be continued. Hell you had the ever irascible Brian Burke, a former Canuck GM to deal with, the never ending battle of coasts; east vs west!, not to mention the recent Alexandre Burrows/Ron Maclean debacle that seemingly ended amicably earlier this week.

So what happened!

The Leafs came out firing and the Canucks seemed listless. Holy Fuck the Leafs jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with under 4 mins played. The Canucks seemed kind of relaxed actually. Weird for being down 2-0 so early but whatever they proceeded to shoot the puck and actually ended up with a 14-8 shot total to end the period, even though the Leafs got a late goal to end the period!

(FUCK! The Flames just scored!)

So time for a side bar here. At the end of the first period I said to my Wife who was so kind as to allow me to watch the game at home while she and my soon to be one year old son to a Christening of some people I don’t really know, I said even though the Canucks are down 3-0 they will win.

Second Period, with the very first Scotch freshly poured I sat and watched as my boys come out with the confidence that they should considering that they are facing the lowly Leafs. The Homerish commentary from Glenn Healy led me to believe  the Canucks were done for. Actually at this time I would like to point out that I learned a new Stat term tonight! Touches! Really? Ugh!

So with Toronto’s game well in hand they did the unthinkable although the probable, they turned the puck over at the opponents blue line. It’s just too bad that the player they turned it over to was one Alexandre Burrow! Yes that is right the much malined Burrows. Well he took it and buried top shelf on Bryzgalov(Ooops I mean Toskala. Nice catch FB).  Oh did I mention the Canucks outshot the Leafs 9-3 in the period.

So at this point I realized that I should don my Canucks Jersey that I had taken off earlier in the day. It’s a good thing I did because…

the Sedin Show showed up. I am not gonna recap the third. Suffice to say with 2 mins left the Canucks took the lead and added an empty netter to seal the fate of the lowly Leafs. Fuck they Suck the BIG ONE!

  What a bust!!! Who is the goalie for Toronto??? Bryzgalov??? Have another scotch.
