Canucks Can’t Beat The Senators

The World is ending and the Canucks are slipping into the abyss! That’s pretty much what the local media is stating right now. After a 7 game winning streak the Canucks have dropped two in a row and they still cling to the NW Division lead by two points over the Colorado Avalanche. Time to panic!
How soon people in this town forget that the Canucks are just like every other team in the NHL…human. We can not win them all and really don’t be too impressed with Ottawa’s 11 game win streak. Look who’ve they’ve beaten during that streak, Montreal twice, Boston twice, the Rangers, Blues, Devils, Penguins and the Sabres. Now only three of those teams are actual Cup contenders and I’ll let you figure out which ones they are. Hint the Canucks have also beaten them as well. Hell these same Senators lost to the Thrashers, Hurricanes and Panthers just before their winning streak. Teams fucking lose it’s not the end of the world.
Montreal was damn lucky to get by us, if it wasn’t for Halak they would have been destroyed. Every goaltender has it in them to play lights out once in a while but the great ones can do it on a regular basis. So take a deep breath and let Luongo get some rest, I mean he’s only started the last 25 games. I hope he rests again tomorrow for the Canucks tilt against Boston.
